Another wonderful story about my little Island!

I have had my bike for 7/8 years give or take, and where I live, your bike is like your car. Everyone knows what it looks like and that it’s mine. It was baby blue and white with hibiscus flowers all over it and tan embroidered seat and handle covers. And it also had its trademark plastic spoke charms that went plink plunk when you walked it. It’s been stolen probably 15 times and it always came back to me =)

Lately I’ve been riding it and it crunched and grinded and the chain kept falling off and I knew it was almost at the end of its life! I brought it to Paul the guy who ALWAYS fixes my bike, sold me that bike and has literally MADE every bike I’ve rode since I’ve been here. From my first hot pink banana seat, flowy tasseled flowery training wheel bike when I was six till now.

He worked for 3 days on this and told me it was most likely unable to be saved =( So he said he was gonna keep on trying and to come back tomorrow.

So I came back the next day and he said your bike is right over there. I looked and there was a brand new, white bike with tiny zebra print stars, black white and blue, with a new squeaky bunny bell and a basket! He even put brand new spoke charms! To top it all off he said him, Matt and Eric (2 guys in town that have known me since my training wheel bike) all chipped in and bought it for me! and Paul is going to fix up my old seat and add it to the new bike ;)

Brand new bike, thanks to the locals <3 I’m so lucky!!!
